The Prairie Avenue Bookshop is conveniently located in Downtown Chicago at 418 South Wabash between Van Buren Street and Congress Parkway, and is within easy walking distance from all points in the Loop. It is across the street from Auditorium Building, just 2 1/2 blocks southwest of the Art Institute.

SUBWAY: Red Line (State Street Subway) to Jackson stop, walk 1 block east to Wabash, 1 block south to PAB. On Blue Line (O'Hare) get off at Jackson and walk 2 blocks east to Wabash, 1 block south to PAB. Green/Orange/Brown/Purple Lines to Adams/Wabash stop, walk 2 1/2 blocks south to PAB. Orange/Brown/Purple Lines to Library (State/Van Buren) stop, walk 1 block east to Wabash, 1/2 block south to PAB.

BUS: The #36 bus from the Northside comes down State Street. Stop at the Harold Washington Library, walk 1 block east to PAB.

CAR: #290 (Congress Parkway) from the west, north on Dearborn to Jackson, east 2 blocks to Wabash, 1 1/2 blocks south to PAB. All of the major expressways feed in to Congress. There are many pay parking lots in the area, and metered parking to our south. If coming from Michigan Avenue (north or south) go west on Van Buren, south on Wabash.
